How to join Cliffview Chapel
The Bible teaches us that Christians should be a member of a Bible-believing local church. (1 Cor. 12:13-31) God does His work of evangelizing, educating, and serving through these churches. Membership comes with both blessings and obligations.
Here are the simple, but important, steps to being a member at Cliffview Chapel Baptist Church:
(1) Attend some church services so you can get an understanding of what we value, believe, and practice. It is recommended to attend a variety of services (Sunday School, Sunday worship, and mid-week Bible study) from one to three months. Ask questions, get involved, and soak in all what we are. Ask for the small booklet that contains our Statement of Faith and Church Constitution so you can read it to know us better.
(2) Ask our pastor for an appointment so he can answer your questions and tell you more about Cliffview.
(3) The requirements for join are simple, but very important.
(a) Each member must be saved. This means they have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in humility through faith and repentance by confessing verbally the Lord Jesus, by believing in their heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and by calling upon the name of the Lord to save them.
(b) Each member must fully agree with and to our church's Statement of Faith and be willing to enter into our church covenant.
(4) A person becomes a member upon compliance of any one of the following condition:
(a) By water baptist via immersion as a true believer in Christ Jesus.
(b) By letter of transfer from another Bible-believing church of like faith and practice; or other written statement of good standing from a previous like-faith church if that applicant was baptized by immersion subsequent to a profession of faith.
(c) By a testimony of faith and baptism by immersion, in cases where a previous no longer exist.
