Steps to Membership

Cliffview Chapel receives members by three different methods:

1) Salvation Experience and Believers Baptism
This means that a person through personal faith and repentance accepts the Lord Jesus
Christ as their Savior. Upon their water baptism, they immediately become a member of
Cliffview.

2) Transfer of Membership
If a person is already saved, scripturally baptized, and a member of a church of like faith
and practice, then they can request that their membership be transferred to Cliffview.

3) Statement of Faith
If a personal is saved and scripturally baptized, but does not have active membership
at a church of like faith and practice, then they can be admitted to Cliffview's membership
based on their statement and testimony of their salvation and baptismal experience.

Step 1 - Attend, Learn & Pray

Attend some of the worship services and meet the nice folks who call Cliffview their home church. Obtain and carefully read the doctrinal statement of our church. Pray and ask God for His wisdom in deciding whether to join the membership. You can read our doctrinal statement by clicking on the button below.

Step 2 - Ask Your Questions

Joining a church is an important and serious matter. It is like joining a family - a church family. We want to be sure that your questions about our doctrine and practices are thoroughly answered. Our Pastor wants to take some time to answer your questions and tell you more about Cliffview. You can schedule a meeting with him by either clicking on the buttom below, calling him at (435) 644-2889, emailing him at info@cliffviewchapel.org, or asking him while at church for an appointment.

Step 3 - Present Yourself for Membership

The final step is to present yourself for membership and for the congregation to affirm it. This is not as scary as it sounds. Pastor will announce at the close of one of the Sunday worship services your desire to join our church. The congregation will approve it by acclamation and you will automatically become a member (or upon your baptism, if you still need to be baptized).
